Senegal Face Morocco And Mauritius

Pape Cheikh has accepted a call-up to the Senegal national team for friendlies against Morocco and Mauritius on the 9th and 13th October.

The midfielder is 23 years old and was an under-19 European champion with Spain, as-well-as playing for them in the under-21s.

Senegal have stolen Pape Cheikh from Spain. After being crowned under-19 European champion with ‘La Roja’ and playing numerous times in the under-21s, the midfielder, 23, has decided to accept a call up to the Senegalese national team.

Currently, at Dijon, for whom he has played three games this season, he has spent his entire career split between Celta Vigo, his boyhood club, and Olympique Lyon.

Pape went on to make 46 appearances for the Spanish club, while he was less able to secure game time in France, playing just 25 games for Lyon.

Senegal will line-up against Morocco on the 9th October before taking on Mauritius on the 13th, both games are friendlies.
